If you’re frantically searching for activities to fill your May half term holiday calendar, read on. The brand new family Festival of Discovery could be right up your street.
If you’ve not thought about half term yet, but you like the sound of you and your children learning a whole load of fun new stuff in the glorious surroundings of Anglesey, you need to read on.
Holiday Festival in North Wales – Keep the kids entertained all day.
And if you like arts and crafts, science, boats, paddle boarding, bubbles, vintage fairs, wild Bush craft, flower crowns, donkey rides, circuses skills, kiddy cooking and farms well good. You’d best read on as well because – guess what? – the Festival of Discovery is also for you.
The Festival of Discovery is a fun-packed three day family festival right here in Anglesey. If you’re from around here, you’ll know it’s no exaggeration to say that this little isle is one of the most beautiful places in the world. If you’re not….it’s certainly time for a visit, wouldn’t you say?
Over the festival’s three full days (Thursday May 30 – Saturday June 1, 10am to 5pm), there’s time for your child to discover their crafty side with our arts and craft classes, whip up a storm in the kitchen in our fun cookery sessions and even have a go at some traditional dancing in the clog dancing workshop.
Journeying through the solar system in our digital planetarium is truly something to behold for those of a star-shaped persuasion, while those of a more practical nature will relish the chance to learn all about robotics and hovercraft building in our technology and engineering workshops.
If your family’s been swept away by The Greatest Showman, then you absolutely do not want to miss the circus skills sessions, where you’ll learn what it takes to be part of a super-modern non-animal social circus.
And if you think all that activity sounds great for your children but a little bit too much like hard work for you, worry not.
Every ticket also includes entry to The Boat Show and the Anglesey Food Festival at the same venue. So while your children are tiring themselves out and having a whale of a time, you can chill out and enjoy the amazing variety of locally sourced food and produce thanks to our talented array of farmers, producers, restaurants and hotels.
The Festival of Discovery. Something for absolutely everybody. What’s not to love?
I hear there will be wine at the festival too. I’ll just leave that there for us mum types to read. Love Davina, Festival of Discover Creator
